Matthew Chan is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Atlanta focusing on Johns Creek and Alpharetta. Prior to becoming a Real Estate Broker, Matthew was a real estate investor/principal for 18 years who bought, sold, financed, and leased properties in Georgia and Alabama. Matthew is also well-versed in Georgia property tax appeal matters and has represented clients and negotiated over 100 tax appeals across four Georgia counties.
As a real estate investor, Matthew has taught and lead real estate investor/entrepreneur meetings, seminars, and workshops in the U.S. and internationally.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his better half, Susan, going on cruises and watching Netflix and Hulu. Matthew is an occasional gamer who enjoys strategy games/simulations. He is also an old-fashioned Trekker (Star Trek fan). Matthew also aspires to one day be a proficient ballroom dancer.

Matthew and Susan currently reside in Johns Creek. They periodically travel to Florida to tend to family matters. They first met at a Dunwoody GA Halloween Party in 2012. They discovered they were both from South Florida and attended Florida universities. In their spare time, they enjoy Netflix, Hulu, cruises, and are cat lovers. They are also investment-minded people.
Matthew and Susan have two affectionate, in-your-face cats: Lexy and Jaggy. Lexy is 13-years old and Jaggy is 6-years old. We adopted them separately when they were only 3 to 4 months old kittens.
Lexy (brown cat) is a vocal cat that persistently tries to sneak a drink out of our water cups. She dislikes her personal space intruded upon by other cats. She enjoys basking in the sun during sunny days. She also likes to step outside and explore the outside perimeter of the house from time to time.
Jaggy (orange cat) is a spirited, confident cat that walks with a strut. He is generally fearless until he upsets us doing something foolish. He thinks “all humans are wonderful” and trusts everyone! Jaggy enjoys playing “catch” with a medicine cup and other small objects. I need to get a video of him sometime. He thinks he is a dog! Jaggy is definitely an indoor cat because he never wants to get near any door going outside.
